Ben Yardley
Ben supports the delivery of robust, HMRC-compliant R&D tax claims. With a strong academic background and a sharp eye for detail, he plays a key role in reviewing documentation, supporting internal quality assurance processes, and ensuring claims meet legislative standards.
Ben holds a BA and MSt in History from Oxford University, where he specialised in Modern European History – with a particular focus on regional identity in post-revolutionary France. Before joining Kene, Ben spent two years in the education and training sector, where he helped design and manage interdisciplinary academic programmes at Oxford Prospects. His work covered subjects ranging from philosophy and economics to sustainability, helping students engage with real-world topics through academic lecture series.
He then moved into an international-facing role as Coordinator at a private training provider, facilitating visits from public sector delegations from countries including Ghana, Malaysia, and Taiwan. His responsibilities included researching public administration systems, both in the UK and globally – a role that deepened his understanding of policy and governance.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys rugby, exploring London’s green spaces, and reading novels. He once worked selling antique books – combining his love of history and storytelling.
