Jana du Plessis

R&D Tax Analyst (SA)

With a background in electrical, electronic and industrial engineering, Jana brings a structured, analytical mindset to her role as an R&D Tax Analyst. Prior to joining Kene, she worked as a software developer in the fund management space, contributing to tech-led innovations for clients through data-driven solutions and portfolio analytics.

Jana is excited to bring her technical foundations and curiosity to the world of R&D tax, where she’s focused on supporting clients in uncovering and evidencing their innovation.

Outside of work, Jana’s all about good company, good coffee and the great outdoors — whether that’s hiking Table Mountain, sipping flat whites by the sea, or catching live music with friends. She’s an amateur wedding violinist, fashion enthusiast and a proud Springboks supporter.

☕ Fun fact: Jana once worked as a sensory panellist at Distell, where her job involved tasting and evaluating alcoholic beverages as part of product development — before lunch. All in the name of science, of course!
