Liam Hanna

Senior Business Development Consultant

Liam’s role is arguably one of the most exciting – he gets to speak with industry-leading innovators, learn about the incredible projects they are working on, and help them financially benefit from the innovation incentives available to them. Alongside winning new clients, he enjoys partnering with financial institutions, trade bodies and accountants to further educate and support mutual clients.

With a background in financial services and experience in the automotive and F&B sectors, Liam has spent the past five years specialising in R&D funding. He has worked across a vast range of industries, including agriculture, construction, manufacturing and sports. He’s particularly keen to expand his work with sports tech and manufacturing companies while making inroads into the world of vertical farming.

Liam takes great pride in the work he does at Kene, ensuring that high standards and client-first decision-making remain at the core of every project. As a proud member of the Kene4Change committee, he has also led impactful fundraising initiatives for charities across the UK and beyond – including a 25km walk through London in support of Alzheimer’s UK.

Outside of work, Liam enjoys life in Henley-on-Thames with his wife. A passionate sports fan, he can be found supporting Henley RFC, playing cricket for Henley CC’s 3rd XI, or honing his golf game to maintain a 10 handicap. A keen traveler, his adventures have taken him from spotting The Big Five in East Africa to motorbiking through Vietnam, abseiling waterfalls in Mauritius, and deep-sea fishing in the Caribbean – with Japan next on the list!

Fun fact: Liam is an avid cook and dreams of one day training at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork.
